"Schools will be sent on vacation, preschools will work," said Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization Yaroslav Kucher at a briefing Thursday evening.

He also reported that school holidays will last from 19 to 30 October.

According to him, from October 19 in the settlements referred to the "red" zone all entertainment establishments are closed, shops and catering establishments will work only until 20:00. In addition, institutions providing social or rehabilitation services to families in difficult life circumstances will be closed to visitors.

At the same time, Kucher reported that all transport, including railway and suburban ones, will continue to work as before, but warned that if the negative dynamics of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) persists, this decision could be revised in a week.

"I insist that the greatest amount of infection is spread in public transport. At the same time, this [the work of transport] is connected with life of the city. When we stopped transport, it pretty much affected the economy. So far we cannot allow this [...] But, I emphasize that in a week this issue will be revised [...] Minister Stepanov said that if we increase the negative dynamics, then in a week we will revise this issue. Therefore, I ask all the residents: please, let's adhere to quarantine measures," Kucher said.

As reported, earlier on Thursday, October 15, the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations established a new epidemic zoning in Ukraine from October 19, according to which Kharkiv, Liubotyn, as well as Bohodukhivsky, Lozivsky and Pervomaisky districts of the region are referred to the "red" zone.
