Business Summary
Artemis AiM VCT plc is a venture capital trust. The Company's investment objective is to achieve long-term capital and income growth, and to generate tax-free capital and income distributions. It invests in companies that trade on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of London Stock Exchange plc, and to a lesser extent, companies traded on PLUS Markets (PLUS), and unquoted companies with flexibility to invest in other assets for no more than 30% of the Company’s funds. At least 70% of the Company’s funds should be invested in qualifying holdings (within three years of such funds being raised) in a spread of AIM, PLUS-traded and unquoted companies with the majority of the holdings comprising AIM-traded stocks. The Company’s manager is Artemis Investment Management Limited. In April 2009, Artemis AiM VCT plc merged with Artemis AiM VCT 2 plc, and Artemis AiM VCT 2 plc changed its name to Artemis VCT plc.
