Business Summary
High Yield & Mortgage Plus Trust (the Trust) is a closed-end investment trust. The Trust invests in a portfolio of common shares of Canadian public companies. The return to the trust and its investors will be dependent upon the return on the High Yield and Mortgage Portfolio, pursuant to a forward agreement. The High Yield and Mortgage Portfolio will consist primarily of an actively managed portfolio of high yield debt instruments, including corporate bonds, bank loans and Canadian commercial mortgage backed securities. It initially focusses on investing between 10% and 20% of the High Yield and Mortgage Portfolio in Canadian commercial mortgage-backed securities, and at any time up to 30% of the High Yield and Mortgage Portfolio may consist of Canadian commercial mortgage-backed securities. Canadian or United States Government debt and/or cash equivalents may be held from time to time. CI Investments Inc. acts as the trustee and manager of the Trust.
