The Company owns and operates oil and gas properties in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). The Company’s wholly owned subsidiary is Reece Geophysical Ltd. (Geophysical). Geophysical conducts seismic operations in the WCSB. As of December 31, 2008, the Company conducted its operations in various properties, including Dodsland, North Dodsland, Buffalo Coulee, Stoughton and Forget Bakken, Bemersyde Bakken and Lower Shaunavon. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company’s total production was 208,815 barrel of oil equivalent (BOE). In April 2009, Penn West Energy Trust completed the acquisition of Reece.
