Lion Energy Corp. (Lion), along with its subsidiaries is engaged in oil and gas exploration in East Africa and retains investments in Canadian mineral exploration and resource development companies. It focuses on the developing oil and gas industry in East and Central Africa. It also holds several strategic investments in sulphur fertilizer and uranium. Its properties include Puntland and Kenya (including Block 9, Block 10A and Block 10BB). Lion Energy has the right to acquire working interests in three Blocks from Africa Oil: a 33% working interest in Block nine and a 10% working interest in Block 10BB. In June 2011, Lion was acquired by Africa Oil Corp.
