Spain

Business Summary
Andalusia is an autonomous community of Spain. It is the most populous and the second largest, in terms of its land area, of the seventeen autonomous communities of the Kingdom of Spain. Its capital is Seville. It is bounded on the north by the autonomous communities of Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha; on the east by the autonomous community of Murcia and the Mediterranean Sea; on the west by Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean; on the south by the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar, and the Atlantic Ocean. The Andalusian Autonomous Government is the institution of self-government of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. Within the government, the President is the supreme representative of the autonomous community, and the ordinary representative of the Spanish state in the autonomous community. The president is formally named to the position by the Monarch of Spain and then confirmed by a majority vote of the Parliament of Andalusia. The Council of Government, the highest political and administrative organ of the Community, exercises regulatory and executive power. The Parliament of Andalusia, its Autonomic Legislative Assembly, develops and approves laws and elects and removes the President.
