Business Summary
Challenger Wine Trust (the Trust) is an externally managed property trust. The Trust is principally engaged in investing in a portfolio of vineyards and wineries that are leased primarily to wine companies. The vineyards are located across Australia and New Zealand. As of June 30, 2010, the Trust’s tenant diversification included Australian Vintage Limited (36%), Pernod Ricard Pacific Pty Ltd (14% ), Grant Burge Wines Pty Ltd and Burge Corp Pty Ltd (6%), Treasury Wine Estates (5%), Delegat’s Group (24%), Warburn Estate (Aust) Pty Ltd (10%) and other (5%). As of June 30, 2010, its property portfolio included Chapel Vineyard, Corryton Park Vineyard, Miamba Vineyards, Richmond Grove and Lawsons Vineyards, Stephendale Vineyard and Cocoparra and Woods Vineyards in Australia and Crownthorpe Vineyard, Dashwood Vineyard, Gimblett Gravels Vineyards and Rarangi Vineyard in New Zealand. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2010, it sold the Cowra Vineyard.
