On 9/27/2006, Point North announced that the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta had granted an initial order to Point North under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, or CCAA. As of 2/13/2007, Point North reported that it was in receipt of claims totalling $34 million under the CCAA process of which it has accepted $15.4 million and was reviewing an additional $12.6 million in claims. The Company noted that its remaining assets, including the corporate shell and frontier seismic data library, are unlikely to generate the funds required to pay in full the outstanding claims against the Company under the CCAA process. The Company anticipates that any plan of restructuring or liquidation will result in no return for holders of Common Shares of the Company.
