Business Summary
Derby Cycle AG is a Germany-based manufacturer of bicycles and holding company of the Derby-Cycle Group. The Company diversifies its operations into three segments: Germany, Rest of Europe and Rest of World. The Company operates also five brands, including Focus, Kalkhoff, Raleigh, Univega and Rixe. The Focus brand offers racing, triathlon, cyclocross and MTB bicycles. The Kalkhoff brand offers e-bikes and pedelecs. The Raleigh brand offers e-bikes, trekking bikes, urban bikes and city bikes, as well as ATBs (all-terrain-bikes). The Univega brand offers mountain bikes, freeride and dirt bikes and BMX (bicycle motocross) bikes. The Rixe brand offers all kinds of bicycles. As of September 30, 2010, the Company operated six wholly owned subsidiaries, from which one was based in the United States, one in Switzerland and four were based in Germany.
