On September 7, 2012, First Commercial Bank, Bloomington, MN, the subsidiary bank of Commercial Bancshares, Inc., was closed by the Minnesota Department of Commerce, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) was named Receiver. All deposit accounts, including brokered deposits, were transferred to Republic Bank & Trust Company, Louisville, KY. The former First Commercial Bank location reopened as a branch of Republic Bank & Trust Company.
