GCL Solar Energy Technology Holdings Inc, formerly GCL Silicon Technology Holdings Inc. (GCL), supplies polysilicon and wafers to companies operating in the solar industry. The Company manufactures polysilicon at its production facility in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. As of June 30, 2008, GCL produced 359 metric tons of polysilicon. It sells wafers produced for the Company through tolling arrangements with third party manufacturers. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company produced only polysilicon and focused on producing monocrystalline and multicrystalline wafers. During 2007, the Company sold 153 metric tons of polysilicon. GCL’s business in China is conducted through its subsidiary, Jiangsu Zhongneng Polysilicon Technology Development Co., Ltd. (JZPTD).
