On 9/23/2019, The Board of Thomas Cook Group plc announced that the effort to reorganize the Company through a Scheme of Arrangement was unsuccessful. An application for Compulsory Liquidation proceedings was filed with the High Court and the Official Receiver was appointed as the Liquidator of the Company after a Winding-Up order was filed against the Company. Thomas Cook Group plc requested that its ordinary shares be suspended from listing on the premium segment of the Official List of the FCA and from trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange with immediate effect.
In November 2019, Fosun Tourism Group acquired the Thomas Cook brand for £11million in a deal that includes domain names, software applications, social media accounts and licences relating to the Thomas Cook, Casa Cook, Cook’s Club brands.
