Exploration Drilling International, Inc. is a development-stage company. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, EDI Exploration Drilling International GmbH (EDI Germany), the Company is in the business of providing well drilling, well construction and well maintenance services using certain technologies developed by EDI Germany. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company conducted a number of drilling projects in Namibia through its wholly owned subsidiary, EDI Southern Africa (Pty.) Ltd. (EDI Southern Africa). In February, 2007, it constructed the first water well on a farm in Namibia.
